"Having
just broken into the Top 200 in college radio, this
new band is on a roll. Take the noisy, artsy, garage
sound of the likes of Drive Like Jehu and Unwound and
you get where Hell Mach 4 is going. Discordant guitars,
yelled vocals, and building, driving rhythms, an indie
rocker's dream come true."
- LumberJack Distro
Ten Meter Resolution, our latest release and our first
full length album. Featuring; Beg, Hedgeclipper, 10
Meter Resolution, Blues For Dave, Human Cannonball,
Cardinal, Sistine Chapel, Firestone and Others Go To
Heaven. This was our first effort without Dave. To his
credit, he participated in the writing of Beg, Cardinal,
Sistine Chapel, Firestone and Others Go To Heaven. Recorded
in the fall of '98 by the talented Mark Smoot at his
folk's home in Maryland. Click on the image for more

Divid
of Trend is Dead was kind enough to do a comp
cd and asked us for a song. We sent them Firestone for
the Trendy cd. Recorded at Glass Hand Studios by Mark
Miley in the summer of '96.

Shawn
Moseley of Lakeside records released "Beg" on the Compatability
of Dissonance compilation.
It features great bands from Atlanta. We were the only
out of town band on the cd but we live in Atlanta now.
Beg was recorded by Mark Miley at Glass Hand Studios
in Richmond, summer '96.

We met Divid on our our first tour and he enthusiastically
asked if we would put a song on his upcoming comp for
the Trend Is Dead Label. Promised Land was the song labeled
on the tape; however, about half of Delta is what you'll
hear. Recorded by Clancy Fraher (The Technical Jed) and
Rick Tubb (The Waking Hours) in their basement with a
reel to reel 4-track and some good mics during the spring
of '96. |

The fall tour
of '95 was very kind to us. Our next two releases were the product
of one of the most fateful events of our career; a house show
on Hampton Street Atlanta, GA. Here we met Chuck, Russ, Paul,
Thom, Brian and all ( y'all rock!). Chuck and Russ asked us
if they could put out a 7". The rest is history!
 |
The
7" was a split with our friends Stinking Lizaveta. Their
track is "Some Go To Hell", ours is Promised Land. The
original idea was to write a song called Others Go To
Heaven for our side of the split. Well, Others ended up
clocking in around 30 minutes so we went with a little
shorter song. Promised Land was recorded by Clancy Fraher
and Rick Tubb in their basement. Click on the image for
some kind words. |
The
12" is an ep and was initially titled "Time

Elapse
Of Human Transformation
And Sound Transition". The first few hundred inserts have
this title but in general this album is considerd self-titled.
Each cover was hand-made and screened under the artistic
direction of Dave Sanchez, and no two are alike. We made
some cassettes as well. We discovered after tour that
a few were a bit damaged, we apologize if you got one.
Some of the tapes were corrected and Promised Land was
substituted for Columbia 17. The songs were Showdown,
Delta, Morning Glories, Columbia 17 and Preacher. The
first side was recorded by Clancy Fraher and Rick Tubb
in their basement. Side two; Morning Glories by Mark Miley
at Glass Hand Studios, Columbia 17 by Chuck P and Brian
Kinchelo in Chuck's parents basement. Preacher, by two
kind souls in Chicago. All songs were recorded between
the fall of '95 and the summer '96. |
Our
first release was a self-titled cassette tape. Dave Sanchez
envisioned hand-making the covers with cardstock and paints.
We hand wrote and rubber stamped each and everyone. These
are no longer available, so if you have one, hang on to
it! The songs were: Father's Day, Preacher, StringJoint,
and Cardinal. We toured the U.S. and Canada with only
this cassette. Thanks to Mark Miley at Glass Hand for
cleaning it up a bit and letting us use his tape decks
to dupe off a few hundred. Recorded by Jason Greschke
(Fullflej) and Trevor (Human Thurma). Jason brought his
8-track Tascam to our practice space at the music mall
on Broad Street, Richmond, Virginia. We mixed the tape
in his bedroom the summer of '95. |
